This historic ‘Ell’ cottage located in beautiful Saint Helena, underwent an extensive restoration keeping true to the original character. Since the rear portion of the existing home is non-historic, this has been designed to create the contemporary ‘mirrored Ell’. With 1000sqft of interior area, the outdoor spaces become even more important. We worked with Landscape Architect Josh Chandler to fully maximize the comfort and livability by creating exterior ‘rooms’ that connect to the home via large operable door and window systems.
With the historical consultant on board the project was approved through the City’s design review process and construction was completed in the 2021.
